Amir (R. Ronald de Carvalho, 55 – Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro) – during the early 20th century, Germans, Italians and other Europeans migrated to Brazil to help develop its economy. Along with them, a wave of Christians from Middle East countries like Lebanon and Palestine came to Brazil for a better life. Because of that, Lebanese restaurants like Amir flourished in Rio and other big Brazilian cities. Amir restaurant offers some of the best Middle Eastern food in Copacabana district. Despite Rio’s typical restaurant prices, Amir continues to draw in locals with its delicious buffet, shawarma, and delicious combo platters.
